Our Upper Harbour district, an up and coming neighbourhood in Victoria, is quickly becoming an adored tourist destination, not only for its many attractions, local breweries, and the Gorge Waterway, but for its ambiance and charm. It is a lively area that offers recreational fun and outdoor activities for locals and visitors alike. The Selkirk Waterfront promenade thrives daily and is just steps away from restaurants, cafes, pubs, and water taxis.

Victoria neighbourhoods are unique and full of rich history. Stop by the national historic site, the 1855 Craigflower Manor and Schoolhouse and see a reenactment of the victorian age when you’re here or take a bike ride along victoria’s Galloping Goose Trail. learn about the ‘gorge’ and its historic community where hudson bay employees once worked off their contracts, purchased land and settled.
Visit Esquimalt Gorge Park, located on the historic Gorge Waterway, which was built in 1905 as BC Electric Gorge Park and was also home to the first Japanese Tea Garden in North America. You’ll find rose gardens, lush lawns, rolling landscapes, heritage trees and picnic areas to enjoy.
Attend an international boat festival, dragon boating events or go canoeing, boating, and kayaking at Gorge Waterway, a narrow tidal inlet that connects the Portage Inlet to Victoria Harbour. It used to be a place for national swimming competitions and a spiritual place for First Nations.
